Real Life 1

Where is fancy bred? In the heart or in the head?

Are librarians born or made? I can look back on many episodes of my life and see how life directed me to this profession. As a child and especially as a student seeking a future, libraries were far from my mind, but never far from my heart. From a struggle to read what I wanted in the sixth grade, to receiving particularly outstanding reference service as an adult, there was always something drawing me here. Now as I struggle some days to remember why I do this, again I feel the pull of nature. When I am in my library, I am home.
