streaming video

Hulu prompted me to buy video and audio cables compatible with my laptop and TV. Now I can connect my PC to the TV and watch streaming video from these and other online providers. With a Netflix subscription now you can stream a selection of titles in addition to receiving the CDs in the mail. I select children's movies for my daughter this way almost exclusively.

Pandora is a lot of fun. It is so easy. I have been using ITunes and Napster

RSS feeders

This is another service that I have been somewhat aware of for several years. I use the RSS feeder in Explorer and the podcaster in ITunes. There is also one called Quick News that I use on my Palm device. I haven't developed a strong reliance on these as a source of information. Although I have come to enjoy the feeder on the Google gadget bar.
